　　在进行动态图表描述的过程中，同学们需要充分抓住数据变化的上升、下降、***高点、***低点等关键特征进行描述，同时注意体现动态图语言表达的同义替换和句型运用等;另外，在描述趋势变化的基础之上，同学们也不要忽略大小比较，尤其是起点和终点值的大小关系。

　　Overall, Canada saw a substantial rise in its total international student population over the two-year period, whereas the USA experienced a slight decline. Additionally, the USA consistently hosted far more overseas students than Canada throughout the timeframe.

　　Looking at the USA first, Indian students formed the largest group by a considerable margin, with 200,000 in 2002. However, unlike most other categories, their numbers decreased by 9% to 182,000 by 2004. By contrast, Canadian students in the USA rose slightly by 6% to 116,600, and Chinese students in the USA also saw a modest 7% growth, reaching 33,170. The total number of international students in the USA fell marginally from 581,600 to 570,000.

　　In Canada, all student nationalities showed positive growth. Chinese students had the most dramatic increase, surging by 45% from 5,400 to 7,850. Indian students in Canada also rose significantly by 35% to 2,835, while American students in Canada had the smallest but still notable rise of 9% to 5,450. As a result, Canada’s total international student population climbed by 17% from 59,870 to 70,004 over the period.

　　In modern society, some individuals argue that news is irrelevant to ordinary people’s daily lives, and spending time reading newspapers or watching news programmes is meaningless. Personally, I strongly disagree with this view.

　　To begin with, news is practically connected with people’s daily arrangements and personal choices. Timely information about weather changes, traffic conditions and policy adjustments helps people make sensible plans for work, study and travel. Moreover, reports on housing prices, employment trends and economic policies offer valuable references for people to manage their finances and career development. If people ignore news, they are more likely to make inappropriate decisions due to a lack of necessary information.

　　Furthermore, watching and reading news is essential for personal safety and social responsibility. News media releases early warnings of natural disasters, public health crises and social risks, which can protect individuals and their families from potential dangers. In addition, keeping up with current affairs enables citizens to broaden their horizons and keep in touch with the whole society, rather than living in a narrow private world.

　　Admittedly, a small part of news such as boring gossip is indeed a waste of time. However, this cannot deny the overall significance of formal news.

　　In conclusion, news is closely related to every aspect of people’s lives. It is by no means a waste of time to follow reliable news, and I believe it is still an indispensable part of modern life.
