题目翻译：进取心(ambition)在现代社会扮演越来越重要的角色。它对于在生活中取得成功有多重要？进取心其利大于弊还是弊大于利？
从话题上来说，属于社会类话题中的问题，考生可以运用平时对此类话题的积累加以论证。
从类型上来说，题目中提出两个问题，但其实都是在让考生讨论进取心存在的重要性。考生只要从合理的角度展开论证，言之有理即可。
从结构上来说，可以写四段完成任务：
段：题目改写+个人观点
第二段：论证为什么进取心对取得成功很重要（advantages of ambition in achieving success）
第三段：讨论进取心的利弊（advantages vs. disadvantages of ambition）
第四段：重申观点。
Introduction:
近来进取心在取得成功方面扮演了重要的角色。These days, ambition plays an essential role in achieving fulfillment. 在我看来，进取心就是实现梦想的动力，并且帮助我们克服难关。In my own view, it means strong motivation to realize one’s dream, and help us pass through difficulties. 因此，进取心是有利的。Therefore, it is advantageous.
Body 1:
Ts:对于想成功的人来说，进取心是强大的内部驱动力，能让我们专心致志。For those who want to achieve success, ambition is powerful internal forces that make them become focused.
Ss: 换句话说，有进取心的人会设定高的目标，并且把他们所有的时间和精力都投入进来。Put another way, one will set higher goals, and devote all histime and efforts to them. 一旦学习或者工作有了热情，就会比那些不太想成功人有动力，也自律。With enthusiasm to his study or work, he is more self-motivated and self-disciplined than those who have less desire for success. 而且有进取心会让人变得乐观，让人不断进步。Furthermore, being enterprising makes a person pessimistic and drives him forward. 人们会充满活力，积极思考，敢于挑战困难，拓宽生命的可能性。所以成功也就唾手可得了。He is vigorous, active in thinking and daring to challenge difficulties, and expanding possibilities in life. Therefore, success is within his reach.
Body 2:
Ts: 然而，如果过度有野心，取得成功就会变得不可能。However, if one person gets overwhelmingly ambitious, success would be out of the question. 这是因为生活和工作取得平衡才能叫成功，成功人士一定是身心健康并且能从容处理任何问题的。This is because success means a balance between life and work, and a successful person must be physically and psychologically healthy, capable of dealing with any problem in a composed way. 这样一来，太过于有野心便不值得拥有，因为它会剥夺人们对家人的关心，把自己牺牲给工作。In this sense, being too ambitious may not be a desirable quality, for it would deprive a person of his care about his family members so as to sacrifice for his profession. 但是，从大的角度看这个问题，（会发现）如果不是出于存活于艰苦环境的本能动力，人类也不可能繁荣。On the other hand, to look at this question in a larger scale, humans would not have thrived if it is not for our natural ambition to survive difficult situations. 进取心让我们生活有了目的，让世界在经济和社会层面都在进步。Ambition is what gives us a purpose in life and enables us to push society forward, both economically and socially.
